A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A320-200N, registration SE-ROI performing flight SK-1012 from Stockholm to Skelleftea (Sweden), was in the initial climb out of Arlanda's runway 19L when the aircraft received a bird strike. The crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet and returned to Stockholm for a safe landing on runway 19L about 15 minutes later.

A replacement A320-200N registration SE-ROH departed about 70 minutes after SE-ROI landed and reached Skelleftea with a delay of about 95 minutes.

A passenger reported the crew suspected a bird strike and decided to return to Stockholm.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground at Arlanda Airport about 8.5 hours after landing.
