An Envoy Embraer ERJ-145, registration N673AE performing flight MQ-3895/AA-3895 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Springfield,MO (USA) with 11 people on board, was climbing out of Chicago's O'Hare's runway 28R when upon contacting departure the crew reported a windscreen wiper was stuck in an improper position, they were working on the issue but were continuing along the departure route. The aircraft continued the climb to 10000 feet, then levelled off and returned to Chicago for a safe landing on runway 27L about 40 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service 15 hours after landing.
