An iAero Boeing 737-400, registration N458UW performing flight WQ-3555 from San Antonio,TX to Laredo,TX (USA), was in the initial climb out of San Antonio's runway 31L when the crew reported a bird strike on rotation prompting the crew to stop the climb at 5000 feet MSL. The crew advised no assistance was needed and returned to San Antonio for a safe landing on runway 31L about 12 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-400 registration N804TJ reached Laredo with a delay of 2 hours.
