An Austrian Airlines Embraer ERJ-195, registration OE-LWG performing flight OS-920 from Salzburg to Vienna (Austria), was on approach to Vienna when the crew stopped the descent at 4000 feet and entered a hold to work the checklists after the crew received indication the emergency parking brake had come on. The indication flickered. The crew consulted with maintenance, positioned for an approach to runway 34 and landed without incident about 30 minutes after stopping the descent.

Maintenance checked the aircraft and released it to service.

About 80 minutes after landing the aircraft was taxiing out for departure to Manchester,EN (UK) as flight OS-463, the aircraft lined up runway 29 for departure and was cleared for takeoff from runway 29, when the pre-takeoff checks resulted in an indication they would have no brakes and a fault with the emergency brakes. The crew did not accept the takeoff clearance and returned to the apron.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 10 hours, then departed for flight OS-577 to Geneva (Switzerland) and reached Geneva.

A source told The Aviation Herald that a faulty pressure sensor caused the problems.
