A Skywest Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of United, registration N124SY performing flight UA-5734 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Lincoln,NE (USA), was on approach to Lincoln's runway 18 when on short final a number of geese collided with the aircraft. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 18.

A passenger reported about one minute prior to touch down there was a loud bump. After landing they learned they had struck multiple birds.

The FAA reported the aircraft received minor damage when it collided with geese on short final. The aircraft was taken out of service due to damage.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 44 hours, then ferried to Milwaukee,WI (USA) as flight OO-1399 and is still on the ground in Milwaukee 8 days later.
