A Skywest Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of United, registration N124SY performing flight UA-5559 from Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 78 people on board, was enroute at FL320 about 90nm northeast of Rapid City,SD (USA) when the crew was to change the heading about 30 degrees to the right but found the ailerons jammed, while working the issue the aircraft deviated + and - 100 feet from assigned flight level. Working the checklists the crew disconnected the aileron controls which permitted the first officer to regain control of the right hand aileron while the captain's side remained jammed. The aircraft continued to Calgary for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance found the aileron feel unit was causing the resistance.
