India's DGCA was prompted by this and two further similiar incidents in the two days before to perform an inspection of the Indigo aircraft and instruct the airline to replace 16 engines. In a similiar move the DGCA instructed GoAir to replace 13 engines, too.
India's DGCA reported on Mar 31st 2020, that the occurrence wsa rated a serious incident and is being investigated. A post flight inspection revealed damaged blades of the right hand engine's low pressure turbine stage 3.
