A Southwest Boeing 737-700, registration N7858A performing flight WN-1478 from Denver,CO to Las Vegas,NV (USA), was climbing out of Denver's runway 17L when the crew stopped the climb at 10,000 feet reporting a problem with the #2 engine (CFM56, right hand). The aircraft returned to Denver for a safe landing on runway 16R about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N750SA reached Las Vegas with a delay of 2:20 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 17 hours after landing.
