A Sita Air Dornier Do-228, registration 9N-AJH performing a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (Nepal) with just 3 crew, was climbing out of Kathmandu when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine down. The aircraft returned to Kathmandu for a safe landing.

The airline reported the engine was shut as a precaution. After about 4 hours on the ground for undergoing checks the aircraft was able to return to service.
