A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A320-200N, registration SE-DOY performing flight SK-7836 from Rhodes (Greece) to Stockholm (Sweden), landed on Stockholm's runway 19R and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft, supposed to perform flight SK-2541 to Edinburgh,SC (UK) next, was towed away of the departure gate however.

A passenger reported the airline explained the aircraft received a bird strike on approach to Stockholm's Arlanda Airport and needed to be checked. A replacement Airbus A320-200N registration SE-ROP performed flight SK-2541 reaching Edinburgh with a delay of about 2 hours.

SE-DOY remained on the ground in Stockholm for about 22 hours before returning to service.
