A SalamAir Airbus A320-200N, registration A4O-OVE performing flight OV-398 from Dhaka (Bangladesh) to Muscat (Oman), was on approach to Muscat's runway 26R when the aircraft sustained a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight and remained on the ground for about 75 hours before returning to service.
