A SalamAir Airbus A320-200, registration A4O-OVB performing flight OV-22 from Sohar to Salalah (Oman) with 78 people on board, damaged a tyre on departure from Sohar. The crew continued the flight to Salalah where the aircraft landed safely.

The airline reported tyre debris was discovered on the departure runway, the authorities in Salalah were immediately notified and prepared for the arrival of the aircraft.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 16 hours before returning to service.
