An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-AQH performing flight AD-2884 from Recife,PE to Natal,RN (Brazil) with 59 people on board, was in the initial climb out of Recife's runway 18 when the crew stopped the climb at 2000 feet reporting the failure of the right hand engine (PW127M). The aircraft returned to Recife for a safe landing on runway 18 about 25 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Recife about 19 hours after landing back.
