A Sunday Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration UP-B5703 performing flight DV-464 from Sanya (China) to Astana (Kazakhstan) with 234 passengers and 7 crew, departed Sanya's runway 26 and was enroute when tyre debris was found on the runway. The airport notified the airline, the airline informed ATC and requested the crew to be informed. Emergency services went on stand by for the aircraft arrival at Astana/Nursultan Airport. The aircraft landed on Astana's runway 04 and attempted to taxi to the apron, however, became disabled on the taxiway with both forward left main gear tyres gone.

According to preliminary information by Sanya Airport the tread of the tyres separated on departure due to cuts by an unknown foreign object.
