A Smartlynx Airbus A321-200 on behalf of Thomas Cook UK, registration YL-LCQ performing flight MT-504 from London Stansted,EN (UK) to Dalaman (Turkey), landed on Dalaman's runway 01 and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight MT-505. Passengers booked onto the return flight reported, they were told an engine (V2533) had ingested a bird. 33 passengers were rebooked onto the flight to Manchester, however, without their luggage, and were subsequently bussed to London and are now hoping to get their suitcases in the next few days.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Dalaman about 27 hours after landing.
