An Indigo Airbus A320-200N, registration VT-ITJ performing flight 6E-895 from Amritsar to Guwahati (India), stopped the climb out of Amritsar at FL290 and continued to Guwahati maintaining FL290. The aircraft landed safely in Guwahati about 2.5 hours later.

India's AIB reported the crew received ECAM indications of high vibrations on the #2 engine (PW1127, right hand), that were intermittent. N2 vibrations reached up to 7 units. After landing a borescopic inspection was performed and found damage to the blades of stages 7 and 8 of the high pressure compressor. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
