A Sun Express Deutschland Boeing 737-800, registration D-ASXD performing flight XG-1959 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Izmir (Turkey), was enroute at FL370 about 140nm southwest of Vienna (Austria) over Slovenia when the crew decided to divert to Vienna due to a suspected fuel leak at the right hand engine (CFM56). The aircraft landed safely on Vienna's runway 34 about 30 minutes later.

Austrian Wings reported emergency services responded and needed to clean up a larger spill of fluid from the right hand engine.

The aircraft was able to continue the flight after 3 hours on the ground in Vienna and reached Izmir with a delay of 3.5 hours.
