An American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration N566AA performing flight AA-838 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Norfolk,VA (USA), was descending through 10,000 feet towards Norfolk at about 16:40L (20:40Z) when the aircraft encountered turbulence resulting in an injury to a flight attendant, the crew reported the injury wasn't life threatening however they could not accept any delay. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Norfolk about 12 minutes later.

The FAA reported a flight attendant received an unknown injury as result of turbulence.
