A Cebu Pacific Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration RP-C4105 performing flight 5J-849 from Manila to Zamboanga (Philippines) with 180 people on board, had safely landed on Zamboanga's runway 09 and was about to turn around at the end of the runway to backtrack the runway to the terminal when the crew needed to stop the aircraft due to a nose gear steering fault.

The runway and airport was closed for about 3 hours until the aircraft could be moved to the apron.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 15 hours after landing.
