A Finnair Airbus A330-300, registration OH-LTO performing flight AY-144 from Bangkok (Thailand) to Helsinki (Finland), was enroute at FL320 about 330nm southeast of New Delhi (India) when the crew received indications of a possible engine (CF6) oil leak. The crew worked the related checklists, drifted the aircraft down to FL200 and diverted to Delhi for a safe landing about one hour later.

Maintenance was carried out. The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours, then was able to depart and reached Helsinki with a delay of 5.5 hours.

Passengers reported the crew indicated a possible oil leak in one of the engines. The problem was fixed on the ground in Delhi enabling the aircraft to continue after at least 4 hours on the ground.
