An Edelweiss Airbus A320-200, registration HB-IJW performing flight WK-403 from Pristina (Kosovo) to Zurich (Switzerland), was enroute when an unidentifyable odour was noticed on board causing headaches and nausea to a number of occupants. The flight crew donned their oxygen masks and continued to Zurich for a safe landing.

The aircraft had undergone an engine wash using glycol in the night from Feb 2nd to 3rd and had suffered an air return on Feb 3rd 2018 (see Incident: Edelweiss A320 near Zurich on Feb 3rd 2018, fumes on board.

According to information The Aviation Herald received an aerotracer again revealed traces of glycol vapours. Several components were replaced and enhanced cleaning was performed.

The aircraft remained on the ground for 27 hours before returning to service.
