A United Airbus A320-200, registration N496UA performing flight UA-459 from Denver,CO to San Diego,CA (USA), was enroute at FL300 about 120nm northeast of San Diego when the crew decided to divert to Los Angeles,CA (USA) due to a hydraulic leak. The aircraft landed safely on Los Angeles' runway 25L about 30 minutes later.

The airline reported the aircraft suffered a mechanical issue and diverted to Los Angeles as a precaution. Another aircraft took the passengers to San Diego.

A replacement A320-200 registration N484UA reached San Diego with a delay of 2:15 hours.
