A BoA Boliviana de Aviacion Boeing 737-700, registration CP-3018 performing flight OB-670 from La Paz to Santa Cruz (Bolivia) with 138 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of La Paz (Elevation 13,325 feet MSL) when the cabin did not pressurize causing the passenger oxygen masks to deploy shortly after takeoff. The crew stopped the climb and return to La Paz for a safe landing about 15 minutes after departure.

The airline reported CP-3018 performing flight OB-670 suffered a technical problem in the first few minutes of flight prompting the commander to return to La Paz's El Alto Airport. A replacement aircraft took the passengers to Santa Cruz.
