A passenger reported the crew announced problems with the cabin pressure soon after takeoff. The aircraft returned to Split. The passengers were kept on board while maintenance attempted to repair the aircraft, subsequently disembarked and waited in the terminal, about 5 hours after landing the passengers were taken to hotels. A replacement aircraft took them to Berlin the following day.
A replacement A320-200 registration G-EZOY was dispatched from Milan Malpensa (Italy) the following day, resumed the flight as U2-9756 and reached Berlin Schoenefeld with a delay of about 22 hours.
