A Jetblue Airbus A320-200, registration N793JB performing flight B6-1097 from Boston,MA to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 103 people on board, was enroute at FL380 about 30nm northwest of Philadelphia,PA (USA) when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and diverted the aircraft to Philadelphia for a safe landing on runway 09L about 19 minutes after leaving FL380. The crew requested emergency services to check the aft cargo hold and advised they had not shut down the engines. Following the examination, that did not find any trace of fire, heat or smoke, the aircraft taxied to the apron.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 3:20 hours, then continued the journey and reached Atlanta with a delay of 3.5 hours.
