A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLW performing flight PK-212 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Islamabad (Pakistan), was on approach to Islamabad when the crew aborted the approach at 6000 feet due to a problem with the nose gear and climbed the aircraft back to 7000 feet while working the checklists. The crew subsequently advised they would not be able to vacate the runway and needed a tow off the runway. The aircraft landed safely on Islamabad's runway 12 about 20 minutes after first stopping the descent, shut down on the runway and was towed off the runway.

On Aug 26th 2017 The Aviation Herald received information that the nose wheel steering had failed.
