The airline reported the indications were false. The aircraft is now expected to depart again with a delay of about 12 hours, the passengers have been taken to hotels in the meantime.
On Aug 23rd 2017 the Canadian TSB reported the crew received a Low Oil Level indication for the right hand engine. The flight crew consulted with dispatch and airline's maintenance then decided to return to Oakland. The flight crew reduced the engine to idle about 20 minutes after receiving the initial indication, descended the aircraft to FL220 and landed safely in Oakland. Oil residue was found on the tail pipe of the high pressure compressor.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground until Jul 26th.
