An Allegiant Airbus A320-200, registration N222NV performing flight G4-822 from Saint Petersburg,FL to Elmira,NY (USA) with 150 people on board, was enroute at FL350 about 80nm west of Baltimore,MD (USA) when the crew received an abnormal brakes indication and decided to divert to Baltimore for a safe landing on runway 10 about 30 minutes later.

A passenger reported there was an unusual odour in the cabin, too.

A replacement McDonnell Douglas MD-83 registration N409NV reached Elmira with a delay of 7.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 14 hours before positioning back to Saint Petersburg, however has not yet resumed service about 43 hours after landing in Baltimore.
