An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZEW performing flight U2-2899 from Milan Malpensa to Naples (Italy), aborted two final approaches to Naples's runway 24 at about 1000 feet MSL and went around due to weather, the crew subsequently decided to divert to Bari declaring emergency due to being low on fuel. The aircraft landed safely on Bari's runway 07 about 50 minutes after going around the first time and about 30 minutes after the second go around.

On Jan 20th 2016 the French BEA reported based on notification by ANSV Italy, that the aircraft landed below the required final fuel reserve. The occurrence was rated a serious incident, the ANSV is investigating.

As of current the ANSV has no note regarding the occurrence on their website, as would be usual.
