An Air Peace Boeing 777-200, registration 5N-BVE performing flight P4-7193 from Port Harcourt to Lagos (Nigeria) with 243 passengers and 12 crew, was on approach to Lagos when the crew received a fire indication for one of the engines (Trent 892) and declared emergency. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Lagos' runway 18L.

The airline later reported the engine fire indication, that had activated just minutes prior to landing, was false. The indication ceased after the crew worked the related procedures.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Lagos about 21 hours after landing.
