A Lufthansa Cityline Embraer ERJ-190, registration D-AECA performing flight LH-312 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Florence (Italy), was in the initial climb out of Frankfurt's runway 18 when a bird imapcted the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at 4000 feet and return to Frankfurt for a safe landing on runway 25L about 12 minutes after departure.

The airline reported a number of birds were ingested by an engine (CF34).

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 12 hours after landing back.
