A Sky Regional Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of Air Canada, registration C-FRQN performing flight RS-7601/AC-7601 from New York La Guardia,NY (USA) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 69 passengers and 4 crew, was descending through FL120 towards Toronto when the crew received a MAU 2B Fail/ADS 2 Fail EICAS message. The crew worked the related checklists, determined one of the affected systems were the inboard brakes causing an increase of the landing distance required by 170%. The crew consequently declared PAN, requested runway 23 advising ATC they had only half of their brakes and briefed the cabin crew. The aircraft landed safely on runway 23 and stopped, emergency services were not yet on stand by but were responding, after arrival checked the brakes temperatures and released the aircraft to taxi to the gate. The aircraft taxied to the apron with emergency services in trail.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the Network Interface Controller and Processor Module 4.

On Jul 24th 2017 the TSB clarified to The Aviation Herald, that the required landing distance needed to be multipled by 1.70 prompting the crew to request runway 23.
