A Sky Regional Embraer ERJ-175, registration C-FXJF performing flight RS-7558 from Montreal,QC to Halifax,NS (Canada) with 80 people on board, was enroute at FL330 about 30 minutes before estimated landing when the crew received a "PRKG BRK NOT RELEASED". The crew worked the related checklists but were unable to clear the message. The crew declared emergency due to possibly blown tyres on landing and had cabin crew prepare the cabin for an emergency landing advising passengers to brace for landing. The aircraft continued to Halifax where the aircraft landed uneventfully. Emergency services inspected the aircraft and found no anomaly, the aircraft taxied to the apron.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance determined the park brake switch had failed and replaced the switch.
