A SAS Scandinavian Boeing 737-600, registration LN-RRR performing flight SK-12 from Stockholm to Lulea (Sweden) with 110 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Stockholm Arlanda Airport's runway 08 when the aircraft was struck by lightning. The crew levelled off at FL260 and returned to Stockholm for a safe landing on runway 19L about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-600 registration LN-RPE reached Lulea with a delay of 2 hours.
