A UTAir Boeing 737-800, registration VQ-BJF performing flight UT-254 from Surgut to Moscow Vnukovo (Russia) with 151 people on board, was in the initial descent towards Vnukovo Airport when the crew needed to shut one of the engines (CFM56) down while descending through about FL300. The crew continued for a safe landing on Vnukovo's runway 24 about 30 minutes later.
