An Expressjet Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N607LR performing flight DL-5381 from Atlanta,GA to Newport News,VA (USA), was on approach to Newport News when the crew declared emergency reporting a possible nose gear steering problem. The crew continued for a safe landing on runway 07.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 80 minutes, then departed for the return flight.

The FAA reported the flight declared emergency due to a possible nose gear steering problem.
