A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N199DN performing flight DL-222 from Berlin Tegel (Germany) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was climbing out of Berlin when the crew stopped the climb at FL200 reporting problems with a hydraulic system. The crew decided to return to Tegel Airport for a safe landing about 50 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 24 hours, then departed for a test flight DL-9982 however did not return to service so far about 32 hours after the unscheduled return.
