A Tuifly Boeing 737-800 on behalf of FlyNiki and in livery of Air Berlin, registration D-ABAF performing flight HG-2273 from Heraklion (Greece) to Berlin Tegel (Germany), was climbing out of Heraklion when the crew stopped the climb at FL200 and decided to divert to Athens (Greece) reporting electrical problems. The aircraft landed safely on Athens' runway 03L about 65 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the captain announced they were having electrical problems which affected vertical trimming. The passengers were taken to hotels at Piraeus while the aircraft was being repaired. The flight continued on Jul 2nd 2017 and reached Berlin with a delay of 40 hours.
