A TuiFly Boeing 737-800, registration D-ATUZ performing flight X3-2314 from Hanover (Germany) to Palma Mallorca,SP (Spain), was enroute at FL370 about 6nm west of Marseille (France) when the first officer left the cockpit for a toilet break. During the toilet break the first officer felt light dizziness, after leaving the toilet the dizziness increased so that flight attendants laid the first officer down onto the floor in the forward galley. A paramedic travelling as passenger provided first aid and diagnosed low blood pressure, the first officer remained conscious throughout. The captain decided, as they were already passing the top of descent into Palma Mallorca, to continue the flight and left the first officer in the galley to recover. A flight attendant entered the cockpit and assisted the captain reading checklists. The aircraft landed safely in Palma Mallorca without further incident.

Germany's BFU reported in their October Bulletin that the first officer was examined in a hospital and discharged without findings, went to his hotel and returned to Hanover the following day flying as passenger.

The airline stated the crew performed exemplary.
