A Wideroe de Havilland Dash 8-200, registration LN-WSA performing flight WF-735 from Bodo to Mo i Rana (Norway), was climbing out of Bodo when sparks were seen from one of the propellers prompting the crew to stop the climb at FL140 and return to Bodo for a safe landing about 20 minutes after departure.

The airline reported an electrical fault in the propeller de-icing system caused the sparks.

A replacement Dash 8-100 registration LN-WIO departed about 80 minutes after LN-WSA landed back.
