A LOT Polish Airlines Boeing 787-800, registration SP-LRF performing flight LO-6523 from Warsaw (Poland) to Mauritius (Mauritius), was enroute at FL370 over the Mediterranean Sea about 100nm northwest of Alexandria (Egypt) when the crew decided to turn around and return to Warsaw due to engine (Trent 1000) vibrations. The aircraft descended to FL360 for the return, dumped fuel and landed safely back in Warsaw about 3 hours after turning around.

A replacement Boeing 787-800 registration SP-LRD departed Warsaw about 4 hours after SP-LRF landed back and is estimated to reach Mauritius with a total delay of about 10 hours.
