The aircraft remained on the ground for 48 hours, positioned to Dusseldorf, remained again on the ground and resumed service about 72 hours after landing in Paris.
According to information The Aviation Herald received the captain feared he might lose consciousness prompting both flight crew to don their oxygen masks.
Germany's BFU reported that the occurrence was reported to the BFU, the BFU is currently collecting information and informed the French BEA. On Mar 2nd 2017 the BFU added, that after collecting and evaluating information the BFU did rate the occurrence neither serious incident nor accident and is therefore not investigating the occurrence.
