A Germanwings Airbus A319-100, registration D-AKNM performing flight 4U-8061 from Nuremberg to Berlin Tegel (Germany), was on approach to Berlin when the crew aborted the approach at 3500 feet and entered a hold advising of a problem with the flaps. The aircraft subsequently climbed to 6000 feet, then positioned for another approach and landed safely on Tegel's runway 08L about 30 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground at Tegel Airport about 12 hours after landing.
