An Indigo Airbus A320-200, registration VT-IEM performing flight 6E-6619 from Kolkata to Hyderabad (India), departed Kolkata's runway 19L.

A Silkair Boeing 737-800, registration 9V-MGH performing flight MI-488 from Singapore (Singapore) to Kolkata (India), was on short final to runway 19L when the crew decided to go around from low height (below 200 feet AGL).

India's DGCA reported that the separation between the two aircraft reduced to 0 feet vertically and 0.6nm horizontally. India's Accident Investigation Board have opened an investigation into the occurrence rated a serious incident.

Both aircraft manouevered to get clear of conflict, then continued to their destinations for safe landings.
