A United Boeing 767-300, registration N666UA performing flight UA-104 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Houston Intercontinental,TX (USA), was climbing out of Sao Paulo when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 due to a problem with the flaps. The aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Guarulhos for a safe landing on runway 27R at a higher than normal speed (about 190 knots over ground) about 95 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Sao Paulo about 19 hours after landing.
