A LATAM Airbus A319-100, registration PR-MBU performing flight JJ-3394 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP to Porto Alegre,RS (Brazil), suffered a bird strike onto the left hand engine (V2524) while on approach to Porto Alegre's runway 11. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

A passenger reported maintenance engineers were checking the left hand engine after landing, a device appearing to be a borescope was brought to the aircraft and used on the left hand engine.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Porto Alegre about 8 hours after landing.
