A United Boeing 767-300, registration N667UA performing flight UA-30 (dep Dec 8th) from Newark,NJ (USA) to Munich (Germany), was descending towards Munich when the crew stopped the descent at 4500 feet due to a flaps problem. The aircraft entered a hold while the crew was working the checklists. The aircraft subsequently landed on Munich's runway 26R at a higher than normal speed about 30 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 16 hours after landing.

A passenger reported they landed in Munich with emergency services in attendance. The captain subsequently announced the crew had declared emergency, they needed to land with the flaps not fully extended.
