The airport was closed for about 3.5 hours as result of the occurrence.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 33 hours before resuming service.
Russia's Northwest Transport Investigation Department reported that none of the 132 passengers and 5 crew needed medical care, the aircraft received no damage, when it overran the runway end by 73 meters.
Russia's Rosaviatsia (CAA) reported in their December bulletin that the aircraft overran the runway end by 73 meters but did not receive any damage. The occurrence was caused by a combination of factors: ATC reported a braking action that was insufficient for proper preparation for landing, non-use of maximum revserse during the first half of the rollout and incorrect assessment of landing distance remaining by the captain.
