A Fedex Federal Express McDonnell Douglas MD-11, registration N575FE performing flight FX-415 from Ontario,CA to Memphis,TN (USA), was on final approach to Memphis' runway 18R when tower advised the preceding aircraft, a Boeing 767, had reported a gain of 10 knots and very gusty winds below 500 feet AGL and cleared the aircraft to land. The aircraft touched down on runway 18R, tower in the meantime instructed the next arrival to go around. Tower subsequently advised FX-415 something had fallen off the aircraft onto the runway, tower didn't know what it was though.

The FAA reported the #1 engine (CF6) received unknown damage during roll out.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Memphis about 22 hours after landing.
