A Thai Airways Boeing 787-800, registration HS-TQC performing flight TG-473 (scheduled dep Oct 9th, actual dep Oct 10th) from Bangkok (Thailand) to Brisbane,QL (Australia) with 264 people on board, was enroute at FL380 about 120nm east of Denpasar Bali (Indonesia) when the crew decided to divert to Denpasar due to indications suggesting the right hand engine (Trent 1000) was leaking oil. The aircraft landed safely on Denpasar's runway 09 about 30 minutes later.

The next day the Boeing 787-800 registration HS-TQB reached Denpasar as flight TG-431 from Bangkok to Denpasar, then continued flight TG-473 as flight TG-4739 and reached Brisbane with a total delay of 37 hours.

The occurrence aircraft departed Denpasar about 32 hours after landing as flight TG-432 from Denpasar to Bangkok.
